Closing the door...maybe slamming it ;-)

It has arrived! I am scheduled to walk at 1 pm. I am not as excited about walking as I should be. I am seriously tempted to stay home in my pjs. I guess I feel that walking does not even come close to celebrating all the hard work I did to get here. To most not walking is unthinkable, but I have thought about it. Just so you know I will be there with a smile on ready to walk across the stage and shake people's hands who really couldn't care less.

My dental hygiene graduation banquet was fun. My family and I dressed up all fancy and we looked amazing. I was so nervous about the evening. I was worried about saying the right things. The program listed me as the one to welcome everyone. I waited and waited to be able to start the evening. Each time I asked if it was time I was told to wait a few more minutes. Then PB started the night. For some reason I allowed my feelings to be hurt. Then I recieved a nomination for the Dean's Leadership Award from PB. I know she had the folders for 30 minutes before the banquet started and then throughout the hour long dinner yet she did not take the time to sign it. Again my feelings are hurt. I am really frustrated with the lack of professionalism that was shown to me when for the past two years all I have heard is Mary Ann you need to change to become more professional. I am really tired of trying to please the WSU professors. I know they tell us that they will miss us but I do not feel the sincerity in their words.

It is time to close the Weber State University Dental Hygiene door and open the one to my real life. I am excited to leave this room and all that is in it.

Mair--
You looked so great at the banquet! Congrats on your award! You totally deserve it! Sorry about PBJ, she has really struggled this year as far as "being there for us." Just put it all behind you! You have bigger and better things ahead! I will really miss you! I will for sure be checking up on your blog! Good luck with the big move! I love you girl! :)

Maybe weber is glad that the door is closing on you too. Seriously, if your school is telling you to be mature and professional, guess what your new boss will be telling you? Grow up! I predict in six months you will be blogging about how you don't get along with people in your office. Perhaps, your negative attitude is a prediction of your perception and future behavior. Every office in the world has the one negative attitude and you are it. Don't be surprised when patients and fellow employees request to not work with you. If you can't say or do anything positive keep your bitchy ass quite! Go read "how to win friends and influence people." YOU SERIOUSLY NEED IT!!
ps. I manage 16 people and you wouldn't last 1 day with the piss poor attitude that you have. The world won't bend over backwards for you.

Wow anonymous was harsh. Too bad they feel like they have to be anonymous to say anyt hing. I don't think have the right to comment- they don't know the "hell" we put ourselves through. And if it is PBJ, i hope she is happy at making eveyones lives so miserable that weber becomes a horrible memory.

Mary Ann- you are amazing and always an up beat girl. You will be an asset to an office and they will be better because of you!!!

Ha Ha Anonymous. I must have struck a nerve with you. I apologize to you. Usually I am not a negative person--I guess my blog is my venting medium. I am a pharmacy technician. I 'float' (or temp) around to various stores according to their need and my schedule. I am constantly booked 3 months out and recieve 100% approval from the teams I work with for my willingness to work and adapt to the various quirks of each team. I am so sorry that I gave you the wrong impression of myself, but appreciate the comment! Thanks

Ok Mary Ann who ever posted that anonymous shit must feel threatened by you that is all I can say because you rock. Don't ever let anyone put you down. To bad they don't have the nerve to leave their name or maybe its one of those asshole seniors that the whole junior class hated. Because by my count there are about 20 of those such seninors. Sorry but I get very defensive when it comes to you. You have never complained you have helped all of us first years with anything and everything. Maybe Anonymous just felt slighted because no one likes them. Any way I'm sure there are tons of spelling error but hell I don't care.
Anyway think your great.

Anonymous, show thyself! What a coward. And what a crappy comment. Seriously, what do people gain by being rude? Anonymous should learn how to spell too. It's "quiet", not "quite". Duh!
MaryAnn, don't let that get you down. You're awesome. There's six billion people on this planet and we can't expect everyone to get along all the time. Congrats on graduation!

They say you don't really know a person until you live with them.

Anonymous (aka "Chicken Who Won't Identify Him/Herself"), I lived with Mary Ann for three years, and just so you know, I'm back for a fourth.

If there are people like you at Weber, I certainly don't blame her for slamming the door. My condolences to the 16 people you manage.

Maryanne I think that who ever said those hurtful things should go to hell. This program is not easy, You were the only one that made us juniors feel good about the program. Its funny how they have the balls to say that stuff as long as no one knows who they are. Well everyone can know who I am, and I think it bull shit. They talk about professionalism, but what the hell are they doing by saying that crap. Somedays you are just had enough and you need to vent. And if you can't do it here where can you. I think you will be great in all that you do. You are always kind to people, and go out of your way to talk to them. Don't let this coward down talk you. Because you are better than them by just being who you are.
